Dr. Moores is a Covington native who attended St. Paul High School and Mississippi State University. He then attended LSU’s School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2003. Since graduating from LSU, Dr. Moores has been working in small animal private practice as well as emergency medicine and surgery. He returns to work in West St. Tammany Parish after spending the last 2 ˝ years working at a veterinary referral hospital in Metairie.
Tchefuncte Animal Hospital is a small animal hospital offering contemporary medicine, surgery, and dentistry. The hospital also has a fully equipped in-house laboratory capable of immediate results as well as state-of-the-art digital x-ray for higher quality imaging. Tchefuncte Animal Hospital employs Registered Veterinary Technicians to provide the highest possible quality of care. A fully digital computer record system is used to provide accurate medical records and to facilitate record sharing and consultations with specialists. House calls are also available. Boarding, bathing, and clipping are among other services offered. The hospital also stocks the newest advances in flea/parasite control and a full line of pet food. Early morning patient drop-offs are accepted. In addition, the hospital offers late doctors hours and weekend apointments with prior arrangements with the doctor. Professional grooming is also available by appointment.
